Apply nowSalvagnini Italia is seeking a Software Engineer for its Sarego (VI) office to join the System Automation Software office within the R&D department.
The candidate will report to the Software Engineer Supervisor and, in carrying out their duties, will collaborate with all departments, including R&D, Documentation, Technical Training, Testing & System Integration, and Service.
Main Responsibilities:
Developing software to display the status and operation of Salvagnini machines and to continuously optimize them.
Developing programming software applications and general software applications and continuously optimizing them.
Setting up customer connections to ERP systems.
Creating installation programs and manuals for software applications.
Troubleshooting and providing support to the Service department.
Key Technical Requirements:
Good knowledge of industrial automation technologies (motion control, brushless motors, etc.).
Good knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP).
Skills in graphical user interface (GUI) design.
Good knowledge of network architectures.
Good knowledge of real-time multitasking systems.
Good knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and real-time Ethernet protocols.
Good knowledge of Visual Studio development tools (.NET/C#).
Ability to draft technical project documentation.
Technical diploma in computer science; a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
At least 23 years of experience in similar roles is preferred.
Good knowledge of English (at least B2 level).
Willingness to travel occasionally, estimated at approximately 15%30% of working time.

Knowledge of the C programming language.
Knowledge of programming languages for CAM machines.
Knowledge of the architecture and operation of CNC systems.
Knowledge of 2D and 3D computational geometry.
Knowledge of machine cycles and high-level software.
Knowledge of machine control software.

A permanent contract with an annual gross salary starting at 30,000 euros, commensurate with experience and skills.
Salary classification determined according to objective criteria (experience, skills, seniority), in a fair manner and independent of gender.
