We are looking for a Software Engineer/Data Engineer to join the IoT and Data Analysis team at our Innovation Hub in Padua.
The team's objective is to integrate data from the IoT with the company's various information sources and, where necessary, to design new data structures to generate tangible value in colleagues' day-to-day work.

Key responsibilities:
-Support the team in defining the objectives of new projects, contributing to technical feasibility analyses and time estimates.
-Develop IoT Edge software components in C#, managing the logic for the acquisition, transformation and communication of machine data.
-Contribute to the development of the IoT cloud backend (Azure) by creating services, APIs and integrations with other company platforms.
-Work closely with Data Analysts to provide the structured and consistent data required for the creation of new Power BI reports.
-Collaborate with Data Scientists to support analysis of large volumes of data derived from the IoT and other corporate sources.
-Maintain and continuously improve the data sources used by Power BI reports, ensuring their quality, timeliness and reliability.
-Develop efficient data pipelines and support developers in querying and managing data.
-Keep up to date with the cloud tools and services in use, proposing solutions that improve performance, scalability and cost-effectiveness.

Technical requirements:
-Degree in Information Engineering, Computer Science, IT Technician or ITS specialisation.
-At least 2 years' experience in a similar role is preferred.
-Good knowledge of SQL.
-Knowledge of C# (or alternatively Python / Java).
-Good command of English.
- Knowledge of Big Data tools and technologies.
- Knowledge of the Azure cloud (or AWS/GCP) and related services.
- Interest in exploring both business aspects and Big Data and IoT topics.

Working hours: full-time, 38 hours per week
