IPC and Network R&D Engineer

The resource, placed within the R&D department, will be responsible for:
PC scope activities to be used on board Salvagnini products :
- Keep the PC updated to the state of the art.
- Define the operating system configuration
- Automate the process of creating new PCs
- Test operating system patches and release them
- Antivirus selection, testing and configuration
- Backup system selection, testing and configuration
- Create operating system upgrade packages to be deployed on machines (including those already from customers)
- Identify and test any hardware components to be integrated into the PC (converters, monitors, ...)
Activities in the Salvagnini plant network environment:
- Define network design rules between machine PCs in the same plant and the 'office' network
- Identify, test and configure the devices needed to implement network configurations ( switches, cables, ... )
- Selection, testing and definition of configuration rules for a Firewall
Activities in the SIM area: manage IPC upgrade activities with the goal of making them feasible independently by the operations group

Bachelor's degree and/or graduate degree required and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
